Universidad of Western Sydney is one of the leading universities in Australia, internationally recognised as a high level institution in the areas of research and education. UWS has one of the largest education schools in the country, with over 2,000 students enrolled and nearly 1,000 graduates per year. The UWS School of Education has recently been ranked among the top 10 school of higher education in Australia, being fourth on research performance at national level. UWS School of Education is a leader in community education, special education, social ecology, indigenous education and socio cultural education. The team of early childhood teachers at UWS have a solid record in community engagement, participation in building activities of the profession, academic publications and research in a number of areas relevant to early childhood, such as leadership, information technology, learning and cognitive development, cultural diversity, early childhood policies and ethics. |
